AccountablicityChildren’s Privacy Notice
Accountablicity · Operated by Quality Brand Company, Inc.
Effective date: October 8, 2026 | Last updated: October 8, 2026
1. Who we are
Accountablicity is operated by Quality Brand Company, Inc., a Montana corporation. Our Family service lets parents and guardians create and supervise child accounts, including individual child logins. This notice explains how we handle children’s personal information. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
2. Who this notice covers
Children using Family Accountablicity, including children under 13 in the United States. Children can only join through a Family account set up and managed by their parent or guardian.
3. Information we collect
- Account information: the child’s name, email address and password (to log in), and the family link to their parent.
- What the child or parent enters: chores and check-ins, Dreams, Goals and Actions, wishlist items, weekly earnings records, and IOU agreements and repayments.
- Technical data: a device notification token if notifications are turned on, crash reports (so we can fix errors), anonymous usage statistics, and the network information (such as IP address) our hosting providers process to deliver the service.
We don’t ask children for their age, birthday, address, phone number or photos, and children can’t upload photos. We use only the cookies needed to keep a user signed in. We collect only what’s needed for the child to take part.
4. How we use children's information
To create and run the child’s account; show their chores and activities; record progress, rewards, the Wishlist Balance and IOUs; let their parent oversee their activity; keep the service secure; provide support; and send the notifications the family has turned on. We never require a child to provide more information than a feature needs.
5. Parental notice and consent
A child can’t create an account on their own. The parent first invites the child from their own Family account. We then email the parent, at the address on their account, a notice describing what we collect from the child and how we use it, with a link to confirm that they agree. Only after the parent confirms can the child create their login, and only with the email address the parent invited. If the parent doesn’t confirm, no child account is created.
Parents can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the child’s account (see section 11), which stops all further collection.
6. Children's logins and access
Children have their own login to an age-appropriate Family view. Children’s profiles are private: there are no public profiles or directories. Children can’t add accountability partners, can’t invite other people, can’t message other users, and can’t share their information outside their family. They can propose chores and IOUs only to their own parent.
7. Chores, Wishlist Balance and IOUs
Chore earnings, cash amounts owed, the Wishlist Balance and IOUs are records kept for the family. They don’t represent money held or transferred by Accountablicity; parents decide on actual payments and arrangements. These records are visible only to the child and the parent linked to them, never to siblings or other families.
8. When information is shared
A child’s information is available to their linked parent or guardian and to the service providers that help us run Accountablicity, only as needed for that purpose:
- Supabase — database, sign-in and storage
- Vercel — website hosting and anonymous usage statistics
- Resend — sending emails
- Expo — delivering app notifications
- Sentry — crash reports
These providers process data in the United States. We don’t make children’s information public, and we don’t disclose it to anyone else except where the law requires it.
9. Advertising and marketing
We don’t show ads, use advertising trackers or pixels, or sell or share children’s personal information for advertising or marketing.
10. Notifications and text messages
Parents receive notifications about their Family account. A child may receive email and app notifications about their own chores, wishlist and IOUs, according to the family’s settings. Children can’t sign up for or receive text messages (SMS).
11. Parents' rights and choices
A parent can review their child’s chores, check-ins, goals, wishlist, earnings and IOUs at any time on the child’s page in Family. A parent can delete their child’s account and all of the child’s information at any time from Family → [child] → Delete account, which also withdraws consent. To ask for a copy, a correction, or deletion by email, write to support@chromedesigns.com from the parent’s account email; we may verify your identity first, and we’ll respond within the time the law requires.
12. Security
We use reasonable safeguards for children’s information, including access controls that limit each record to the child and their parent, secure sign-in, encryption in transit (HTTPS), and oversight of our service providers. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
13. Retention and deletion
We keep a child’s information while their account is active. When a parent deletes the child’s account, the account and its information are deleted immediately; copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.
14. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as Family Accountablicity changes. We’ll post the new date here, and when a change affects what we collect from children or how we use it, we’ll notify parents directly and ask for consent again where required.
