Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Accountablicity (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a goal accountability app that helps you commit to daily goals and share your progress with accountability partners. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
Goal data: the goals, success conditions, and privacy settings you create.
Check-in data: daily check-in status (Done, Partial, or Missed), optional notes, and optional photos you upload as proof.
Partner information: names, email addresses, and optional phone numbers of accountability partners you invite.
Device information: device type and push notification token, used to send daily reminders.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the Accountablicity service.
To send daily check-in reminder push notifications.
To email your accountability partners your daily check-in reports on your behalf.
To send partner invite emails when you add a new accountability partner.
To authenticate your account and keep your data secure.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Accountability Partners

When you invite an accountability partner, we store their name and email address and send them transactional emails (invite and daily check-in reports) via Resend. Partners receive a unique magic link to view your check-in history and leave reactions — no account or app install is required. Partner email addresses are only used to send these reports and are never shared with other users or third parties.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database with row-level security enforced. Only you can read or write your own data. Check-in photos are stored in Supabase Storage with access controls. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Transactional emails are delivered via Resend.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You have the following rights:

Delete specific data: you can delete individual goals (and all associated check-ins) directly inside the app at any time.
Delete your account: you can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from the app. On the web, go to Settings → Delete account and type “delete” to confirm. On mobile, go to Profile → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone — all goals, check-ins, partner data, and reactions are permanently removed.
Request deletion by email: if you are unable to access the app, you may request deletion by emailing support@chromedesigns.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and the email address associated with your account. We will permanently delete all your data within 30 days and confirm by email.

Note: some data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being permanently purged.

7. Children's Privacy

Accountablicity is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
